Who Are We?

We are primarily Divine Tools, Unlimited, the educational & charitable organization with Federal non-profit status which Donna founded in May, 1997. This followed a commission from Sri Keshavadas, her spiritual teacher, to start an "ashram" and healing center in northern Arizona.

Soon thereafter, Heartfelt Joy was launched as the name of the Bookstore, the newsletter, and as a more publicly-accessible name by which the business could be known.

Kevin brought the concept of Night Stars in the Desert as a dream and plan with him from Austin, TX. This grew out of Gnostic traditions, through the Ecclesia Gnostic Catholica, in which he has been a priest for more than a decade.

Since we had similar visions, we first merged these under the name Sanctuary Project, in the earliest stages of our partnership, initially conceived as emergency housing and shelter. This is now a Hermitage aspect of the Retreat Center's programs.

Then Ken Maley, now Archbishop of the Apostolic Church in the lineage from St. John the Beloved, asked us to affiliate as an independent diocese, and ordained Kevin a Priest and consecrated Donna a Bishop under these auspices, which led to the creation of the Shanti Sophia Order of spiritual training and initiations for those interested in this path.

Distinguishable threads of faith practices and traditions we have here are:

Hindu/Buddhist/Eastern, Mystic traditions e.g. Sufism/Muslim, Kabbalah/Jewish, Gnostic/Christian, Egyptian/ceremonial & ritual magic/Kaballah, Priesthood through Ecclesia Catholica Gnostica of the Ordo Templi Orientis, Apostolic Church (St. Johns Center)

Today, we are operating the following corporate entities:
